Doctor, Doctor, Mr. MD, I knew you weren’t leaving the 70’s anytime soon – I’m way Grateful you stayed. Three straight shows, three straight boards in my Archive based hard drive collection. How did you know?

Yes, Casey Jones, what a treat, we’re all ‘trippin again.’ I often judge a first set by its Jack Straw when applicable, this one is sweet. Jerry is solid right from the onset of the night and there’s no letting up. Yes, Bob’s on and Donna, yes, hats off to her tonight. I can’t agree with you more on this first set, the flow, song order and pure passion is straight from the books to the space rocks back to Oregon where this night just shines. One of my fav first set gems, BEW is awesome. Dupree's!!! Wow, every time I listen to this version I can’t help but scream. Let it Grow and Deal – Killer-Classic-Dead.

The second sets drives this show into my top 10 of 77 also Doc, perhaps top 5 now that I have come back to it again and again and again...

I love the new Oprah's Picks, I have been so stoked seeing the Doc’s picks and reading all the reviews and comments and just enjoying all of us coming together once again for online celebration, collaboration and Good Ol’ Grateful Dead Glory. These forums have been most recently; inspiring, fun, creative and a breath of fresh air for me in many ways. Thanks to al the regulars and lurkers on here who tune in, turn on and keep the hippy flag flying wide and high. We’re almost on that one year mark since some things went away, but look how much stronger we have become – Nothing and Nobody could keep a Dead Head down for too long.

Still Grateful – Always Dead

I see that 10/2/77 is at gdlive but there is no text included [outdated gdlive]
If anyone here had DL'd it before, is it a good sound source? I'll look at a few torrent sites to see if it's active. It's a new show for me, and i look forward to listening! Thank you Dr.Flashback!!

This show is classic!...Casey Jones opener and Jerry can't remember the words so everybody in the band solos for a while(drummer too!)...The song explodes out of the gate and by the end is like a herd of horses thundering down the mountain...or maybe a train!

The GDLive source is the same as the one here, according to db.etree.org. I'm listening to it right now, and it's beautiful. One comment at etree mentioned a little bit of hiss, but the music sounds crystal clear.

Great show. Just what the doctor ordered.
